Product Details

The ladies Mirage MIPS helmet in colour Black Matte Pearl from Smith. Like layering up for a powder day, pulling on the Smith Mirage ski and snowboard helmet is a sure sign of a good day to come. Its lightweight design brings the latest safety innovations including Mips® and Zonal KOROYD® for enhanced energy absorption in the event of a crash. You head to the mountain in all conditions, so adjustable vents let you dial in the climate control, and because we live in a connected world, it has audio-compatible ear pads. A plush fleece lining offers instant comfort, and you can fine-tune the fit with the adjustable dial.

Features:
  • Mips® Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head
  • Lightweight in-mold construction fuses the exterior shell and EPS foam for a one-piece design that's lightweight and durable
  • Zonal KOROYD® coverage for lightweight, energy-absorbing and ventilated impact protection
  • Regulator climate control allows easy, one-handed vent adjustment
  • 10 active vents (opening / closing control), 4 passive vents
  • Snapfit SL2 ear pads add warmth and are audio-chip compatible

MIPS:
MIPS is used to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique (angled) impact. Smith helmets are created to absorb direct impacts very efficiently and when combined with MIPS, Smith helmets absorb oblique forces better by allowing a small rotation of the outer shell relative to the liner. MIPS in action - When you fall to the ground at an angle rotational forces are generated. A helmet integrating MIPS technology creates a sliding layer between the outer shell and the head. This allows the helmet's outer shell to slide relative to the head when hitting the ground, so the rotational force is decreased, reducing the potential to damage your brain.

Adjust helmet size - dial fit system:
Located at the back of the helmet. The Dial Fit System utilises intuitive righty-tighty and lefty-loosey adjustment for quick, easy, on-the-fly adjustments and a comfortable fit every time.

AirEvac™: Constant flow:
AirEvac continues to drive the warm air away from your goggles through external vents and internal channels in the EPS liner. Internal airflow can be adjusted through the helmet's Regulator climate control system.

Koroyd®:
Koroyd® provides superior impact absorption, design flexibility, and ventilation when compared to materials traditionally used in helmet construction. By utilizing crumple-zone cylinders that crush uniformly on impact, Koroyd® manages energy more efficiently with less volume than any other protection material on the market. Unlike traditional protection materials, Koroyd® cylinders absorb and convert more kinetic energy, while increasing airflow and reducing overall weight.

Helmet sizing
Simply measure the circumference of your head at the widest point (just above your eyebrows). Take the measurement in cm – this is your helmet size. For more information on helmet sizes - please click here.
